All Mazahri jewelry comes with custom silk jewelry pouches and hand-carved wooden jewelry boxes handcrafted by skilled artisans in Afghanistan using traditional methods and ethical and sustainable processes.

Zarif Design

Our magical silk jewelry pouches are created by artisans from Zarif Design House in Afghanistan. The silk is hand woven and dyed in Herat, the historic center of silk production along the fabled Silk Road. Turquoise Mountain

Our signature jewelry boxes are hand-carved from sustainably harvested local walnut wood in the Nuristani tradition by the skilled artisans of Turquoise Mountain. Turquoise Mountain is an international non-profit working to preserve and revive historic areas and traditional crafts, to provide jobs, skills and a renewed sense of pride for local artisans. Each box is handcrafted in Afghanistan and supports a new generation of Afghan artisan entrepreneurs who will not only drive economic development, but also preserve and promote their unique culture and tradition.
